My Sister's BIG DAY!

Monday 7th July 2008

Monday was the most important day in our family, it was my sister's wedding day! ( I hope she will allow me to post the pictures for that day though) Unfortunately, I had to go back to school that day for 2 workshops, which i eventually came late and left early so that to witness the gate-crashing and attend the wedding rehearsal.

The night before, we (me, my bro and sis) actually had supper at Bliss restaurant at Punggol Park, which was like a farewell meal to her... And we agreed that after she has moved out to her new apartment, our frequent meeting place will be at Bliss restaurant. (You guys should really try to go there.. great chill out place, and might i add, the music they play is always very good!)

We got up around 5am cos the jie meis and photographer are coming around 7 to prepare for the gate-crashing. (Poor David.) And as for me, I was in charge of opening the car door for the groom, David. (So old already still open the car door... nvm, do for the sake of the red packet.)

Soon after, David and his brothers arrived... And then there was the "traditional" gate-crashing session, which I believe is the most difficult, sweaty, tiring, angbao-giving 30 minutes for any groom on his wedding day! The groom is suppose to complete the multiple tasks created by the bride's sisters which include angbao bribing, awful food tasting session, difficult Q&A, song & dance and more angbao bribing... It was my first time witnessing the gate-crashing and it was hilarious to watch, and i am really dreading for the day when it is my turn!

After all that, David finally got to see my sis in the bride's room.
My sis was amazingly beautiful that day... looking at her, i actually felt kinda sad that she is leaving our home to embark in her new life. Then again, i'm really happy for her too.

Although I had missed the tea ceremony as i had to head to school, but i was just in time for the wedding rehearsal and solemization!

The solemization ceremony was really touching, with them exchanging vows and all... and i almost drop a tear!

Lastly it was the wedding dinner which included montage, videos, performances and the

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM........
SENG!!!!!!!!

When the wedding dinner ended, we were all extremely dog-tired, but very relieved and happy that everything went smoothly...

Family.

Daedoi...

Last but not least,
I would like to sincerely thank my sister, Ruth Lee, for being such a wonderful, caring and angelic sister and daughter with a heart of gold to our family, and deeply send her my greatest blessings and happiness in her new life!
